While
bankruptcy
attorneys and music lovers are still mourning the untimely and
unfortunate death of pop diva Whitney Houston, details
about her funeral service are slowly coming to light. It will be a private
affair and attendance is by invitation only. However, the singer’s family has
confirmed that the television and the Web will have access to the service.
Political
Correctness
Bankruptcy attorneys hope to catch
the proceedings live on E! Online and pay their last respects as Houston is
laid to rest. It is a shame no one tried to intervene. Bill O’Reilly has been
making waves with his tirade on the mainstream media who used Whitney for
higher ratings but never did anything to help her out. He blames this on
political correctness. But Bill O’Reilly is wrong about marijuana. Plenty of
people smoke marijuana without moving upward to more addictive and dangerous
drugs.
Whitney
Houston’s Funeral Arrangements
The
guest list has not been confirmed yet but it is expected that Kevin Costner,
Houston’s co-star in her debut movie The
Bodyguard; singer and actress Dionne Warwick who is also Houston’s cousin;
soul diva Aretha Franklin; Stevie Wonder; and Alicia Keys will attend the
service. And so will Rickey Minor, Tyler Perry, and gospel singers CeCe Winans,
Donnie McClurkin, and Kim Burrell. According to some sources, the deceased
singer’s ex-husband Bobby Brown too has been officially invited, in spite of
rumors that some family members who blame him for exposing Houston to drugs and
alcohol and bringing about her downfall, had opposed the move.
A Church that is
not a Church
Meanwhile,
bankruptcy attorneys are
worried over certain developments that threaten to cloud Whitney Houston’s
funeral service. The Westboro Baptist Church has announced on Twitter that they
will picket the service over gay rights and marriage issues. The Church, known
for its anti-gay orientation, had previously staged protests at the funeral
services of Michael Jackson and Steve Jobs. The attorneys are keeping their
fingers crossed that no untoward incident mars Whitney Houston’s funeral
service.
